Ayana Howard is Dean of the College of Engineering at Ohio State University. Previously, Howard was the Linda J. and Mark C. Smith Professor and Chair of the School of Interactive Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
An expert in the areas of robotics, human-computer interaction and artificial intelligence, Howard also is the Founder and President of the Board of Directors of Zyrobotics, a Georgia Tech spin-off company that develops mobile therapy and educational products for children with special needs.
Prior to Georgia Tech, Howard served as Senior Robotics Researcher and Deputy Manager in the Office of the Chief Scientist with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Howard holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Brown University, MS and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the Drucker Graduate School of Management.
