Anthony A. Williams is Chief Executive Officer of Federal City Council, an organization which serves as a catalyst for progress in the Nation’s Capital by focusing on major problems and
opportunities that are facing the city.
Williams served as the former Mayor of Washington, D.C. Previously, Williams was the Executive Director of the Global Government Practice at the Corporate Executive Board in Arlington, VA. From 2013 until its merger with Dentons in 2015, he served as a Senior Advisor of McKenna, Long & Aldridge, LLP.
Williams devotes his attention to issues of education and the environment, serving on the
Board of Fight for Children and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Also, Williams served in the
United States Air Force.
Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale College, a Master’s degree in Public Policy
from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School.
