Angela Russell is the Regional Managing Partner of Wilson Elser’s Baltimore office and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, also serving as Chair of the firm-wide Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
Russell has significant trial experience in the Midwest, District of Columbia and across the state of Maryland. Her practice encompasses the defense of complex commercial actions and professional liability matters, including medical malpractice and legal malpractice actions, in addition to claims against agents, brokers and other professionals.
Russell regularly handles security matters and hospitality claims, where her clients include several international hotel and retail chains, large construction and transportation companies.
Russell served as an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law and is a frequent speaker on issues related to health care law and litigation. She is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been selected for inclusion in Maryland Super Lawyers from 2015 to 2022 as well as in Best Lawyers in America from 2018 to 2022.
Russell was appointed to serve on the Judicial Nominating Commission by Maryland Governor Hogan in 2016. She also is Co-Chair of the Maryland Chapter of the Fellows of the American Bar Foundation.
