Amy Wollensack is a private equity partner at Akin. She represents clients in a wide range of complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, divestitures, recapitalizations, joint ventures, going private transactions, PIPEs, venture capital and growth equity investments.
Wollensack has extensive experience representing clients in domestic and cross border transactions across a wide range of industries, including technology, healthcare, food and beverage, professional services, aerospace and defense and manufacturing.
Wollensack has been named among Mergers & Acquisitions Most Influential Women in Mid- Market M&A and The Deal’s “Top Women Dealmakers.” She is rated “Highly Regarded” by IFLR1000.
Wollensack is passionate about DEI and is a member of Akin’s Black Firmwide Resource Group, where she is a dedicated advocate for diversity in the legal profession and a mentor to diverse law students and associates.
Wollensack maintains an active pro bono practice, providing legal assistance to Women’s Entrepreneurship Day and serves on the board of directors of HousingPlus, a nonprofit that provides housing and supportive services to women and families in need.
Wollensack earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law and her B.S. from the University of Richmond.
