Mills is a trusted adviser, skilled advocate, accomplished litigator and effective relationship manager, Alan serves as general counsel to domestic and foreign businesses, financial institutions and other organizational clients and individuals. He currently serves as chair of the fi rm’s Special Servicer team.

Mills has served as lead counsel in the resolution of disputes involving common law fraud, mechanics’ liens, construction defects, lender liability, breach of contract, tort, premium recovery, RICO, conversion, product liability and commercial fraud.

In addition, he guides secured and unsecured creditors through bankruptcy proceedings involving relief from the automatic stay, confirmation, cash collateral and valuation disputes, and reclamation and preference claims.

Notably, Mills serves as official financial institutions counsel to the government of Mexico.

Mills received the Bicentennial Medal from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.

Mills serves as a Board Member on the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law Board of Visitors.

Mills holds a B.A. degree from Carthage College and a J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
