Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC) announced today that it has appointed Monte Ford to the Centene Board of Directors.
Mr. Ford is a leading technologist with more than 20 years of board experience serving Fortune 500 companies across a wide spectrum of industries. He currently sits on the boards of JetBlue Airways, Iron Mountain and Akamai Technologies, and recently served on the board of Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC).
“Monte’s leadership in consumer technology will be invaluable to Centene as we continue our vital mission of creating better health outcomes for our 26 million members across the nation,” said Sarah London, Chief Executive Officer for Centene.
In addition to his board experience, Mr. Ford has enjoyed a long and successful career in senior management positions of several large enterprises, including as Chief Executive Officer for Aptean, Chief Information Officer for American Airlines and Chief Information Officer for Associates First Capital. He currently serves as Principal Partner for the Chief Information Officer Strategy Exchange (CIOSE), a leading, cross-industry consortium of Chief Information Officers from many of the world’s largest corporations.
