Best Buy names Amelia Williams Hardy as Vice President – Inclusion and Diversity Strategic Initiatives.
In this role, Amelia will utilize her extensive background in marketing, strategy, brand management and business management to advance the many initiatives within the HR I&D space. In addition, she will develop an enterprise strategy for an inclusive culture that supports our employees and is integrated within the enterprise.
Prior to her new role, Amelia serves as the Senior Director at Best Buy in the Health Office. She joined the company in 2014 and has since held various roles of increasing responsibility. She has more than 18 years of leadership experience at Fortune 100 companies.
Amelia’s career positions have included strategy, brand management, business development, product commercialization and global P&L business management. In addition, Amelia is significantly involved in diversity and inclusion initiatives at Best Buy and within the community.
Currently, Amelia serves as the Champion for the Black Employee Resource Group and is also actively involved with the Women’s Employee Resource Group at Best Buy.
In the community, she sits on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities, Minnesota Community Care and the FORESIGHT health initiative.
