Aylwin B. Lewis served as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Potbelly Corporation, a franchisor of quick service restaurants, from June 2008 until his retirement in November 2017.
From September 2005 to February 2008, Lewis was President and Chief Executive Officer of Sears Holdings Corporation, a nationwide retailer.
Prior to being named Chief Executive Officer of Sears, Lewis was President of Sears Holdings and Chief Executive Officer of KMart and Sears Retail following Sears’ acquisition of Kmart Holding Corporation in March 2005. Prior to that, Lewis was President and Chief Executive Officer of KMart.
Lewis was Chief Multi-Branding and Operating Officer of YUM! Brands, Inc., a franchisor and licensor of quick service restaurants including KFC, Long John Silvers, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and A&W.
Lewis received a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees and his MBA from the University of Houston.
