Linda R. Gooden was the Executive Vice President of Lockheed Martin Information Systems & Global Services before retiring in 2013.
Gooden has an extensive background in information technology, cybersecurity, operations and finance. She started her 40-year career at the former Packard Electric Division of General Motors before joining Lockheed Martin, where she held multiple senior management positions.
As Executive Vice President, Gooden expanded Lockheed’s IT capabilities beyond government customers to international and commercial markets. Gooden also served as President of Lockheed’s Information Technology division from 1997 to 2006, which she grew into a multi-billion dollar business.
Gooden holds a Bachelor of Arts and an MBA from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) and a B.A. from Youngstown State University. UMUC awarded Gooden an Honorary Doctor of Public Service degree in recognition of her service to the community and to higher education.
