Amber S. Finch is the Managing Partner of Reed Smith LLP’s Los Angeles office, and the immediate past Chair of the firm’s African American Business Inclusion Group.
An Insurance Recovery litigator, Amber has extensive experience representing commercial policyholders in complex insurance coverage disputes. Most recently, Amber represents various companies in connection with business income interruption and property damage losses arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and coverage in connection with the opioid crisis.
Finch also serves on the boards of directors for Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles and Crystal Stairs, Inc. She is a past President of Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
Finch was most recently elected to the American College of Coverage Counsel, and named to the Corporate Counsel’s 2021 Women, Influence and Power in Law Awards (2021) and to the EMpower Ethnic Minority Role Model List (2021). She is a member of the American Lawyer’s 2021 Litigation Department of the Year for Insurance, and was named one of the National Law Journal’s Crisis Leadership Trailblazers (2020).
Finch received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School and her B.A. from Stanford University.
