Vincent Cohen’s appointment as global managing partner at law firm Dechert LLP is the latest in a series of Cohen’s influential leadership roles. Since 2020, he has helped steer the management of Dechert’s 20 worldwide offices as a member of the firm’s Policy Committee.
Cohen focuses his own practice on high-stakes litigation on behalf of individuals and corporations and serves as regional chair of the firm’s U.S. white collar practice. Recognized as a leading attorney in white collar and government investigations by Chambers USA, The Legal 500 and Lawdragon, he has been consistently named one of Washington, D.C.’s Best Lawyers by Washingtonian.
A former acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, Cohen currently sits on the District of Columbia Judicial Nominations Commission, which recommends to the U.S. President candidates for appointment to the D.C. Superior Court and Court of Appeals.
A Board Member of the Legal Aid Society of Washington D.C., Cohen is a member (and former GC) of 100 Black Men of America, Inc. Greater Washington and sits on the Board of Trustees of Syracuse University, Board of Advisors for Syracuse Law School and on the Board of Trustees of The Sidwell Friends School of Washington, DC.
