Rashida MacMurray-Abdullah is the first Chief Diversity Officer for Wiley, a preeminent law firm.
In this role, MacMurray-Abdullah is responsible for leveraging the firm’s efforts in translating diversity, equity, and inclusion goals into creating a culture of belonging and inclusivity. MacMurray-Abdullah works collaboratively in supporting firm-wide efforts in, talent acquisition, including the firm’s lawyer pipeline programs, business development, data analytics and reporting. In addition to leading the firm’s newly created DEI department and serving as the firm’s external DEI ambassador, she leads the firm’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, community engagement, and elevation of the firm’s pro bono program.
With almost two decades of professional services experience, including advising Fortune 500, public sector clients and law firms, MacMurray-Abdullah has leveraged her background to become a trusted advisor in the legal and financial services industries.
In the community, MacMurray-Abdullah serves on the boards of Campaign for Fair Sentencing of Youth, the National Bar Association Commercial Law Section, and the Ridley Scholarship Program.
MacMurray-Abdullah holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia. She obtained her J.D. from Rutgers University.
