Rosalyn Carpenter is Senior Vice President, Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion & Community Impact Officer for CommonSpirit Health, one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the country. They are located in 21 states, composed of over 150,000 employees, 1,500 care sites and 140 hospitals.
Carpenter’s responsibilities include enterprise management of diversity, health equity and inclusion strategies, programs, and initiatives for employees, patients, families, and communities they served.
Carpenter previously served as the CEO of the Urban League of Middle Tennessee.
Carpenter is a founding member of BDHEA (Black Directors Health Equity Agenda), she serves on the Meharry Medical College Health Policy Center National Advisory Board, DEI Committee of Music City Baseball who is working to bring MLB to Tennessee. She was recently appointed to the Academic Review Committee, Journal of Healthcare, Science & Humanities at Tuskegee University.
Carpenter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Administration & Planning from Tennessee State University, Meharry Medical College and an MBA from Tennessee State University.
