Sandra D. Morgan was Chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Morgan was the first African-American to have served as Chair. Previously, she was appointed to the Nevada Gaming Commission. While serving as a Commissioner, Morgan also was Director of External Affairs for AT&T Services, Inc. from September 2016 to January 2019. In that role, she was responsible for managing AT&T’s government and community affairs in Nevada.
Previously, Morgan was the City Attorney for the City of North Las Vegas from May 2008 to August 2016 and was the first African-American City Attorney in the State of Nevada. Morgan was Litigation Attorney for MGM Mirage (now known as MGM Resorts) from 2005 to May 2008.
Morgan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Communication from University of Nevada, Reno and a Juris Doctor from University of Nevada-Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law.
