Byron Foster is Executive Vice President for Adient. In this role, he leads the company’s global Seat Structures and Mechanisms business, overseeing its engineering, manufacturing, program management, quality, procurement and supply chain functions, while focusing on operational excellence and effective program execution.
Previously, Foster was responsible for Adient’s global seating business in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, where he led the seating just-in-time manufacturing, foam and trim businesses.
Since joining Johnson Controls (from which Adient spun off in 2016) in 1997, Byron has held a variety of leadership positions within the company. Between 2012 and 2015, he served as the Group Vice President and General Manager of Customer Groups and Strategy, where he developed relationships with OEM customers and drove profitable growth strategies.
Before joining Adient, Foster was a Senior Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. He began his career at Westinghouse Electric Company.
Foster serves as a Director for the Detroit Regional Chamber and the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME). He holds a Master’s in Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
