Mike Triplett serves as President, U.S. Markets for Cigna Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for leading U.S. market strategy and business growth, building strong local partnerships that result in customer, client, provider and broker satisfaction, access to personalized, affordable health care, and improved total medical costs. He also leads Cigna’s Specialty Product Distribution Team and has responsibility for Cigna’s Government and Education, Taft-Hartley and Payer Solutions areas of business along with Enterprise Sales Effectiveness.
Triplett has been with Cigna since 1998 and has held various leadership and management positions. Prior to his current role, he was President of Regional Segment, Payer Solutions and Government & Taft Hartley. Before joining Cigna, he held numerous sales and leadership positions with IBM for 14 years.
Triplett has served on the Board of Directors of the National Leukemia Society and the South Carolina State University Foundation. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Girls Basketball Association and the Corporate Advisory Board for the National Forum of Black Public Administrators.
Triplett holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance with honors from South Carolina State University.
