Tonit Calaway is Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for BorgWarner Inc., a global product leader in clean and efficient technology solutions for combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles based in Auburns Hills, MI.
In this role, Calaway oversees all aspects of human resources for the company’s 30,000 employees around the globe. Calaway’s expertise is in talent management, labor, employment and securities, and related management issues.
Before joining BorgWarner in August 2016, Calaway spent more than 18 years at Harley -Davidson, Inc., in Milwaukee, WI, where she most recently served as Vice President of Human Resources and President of The Harley-Davidson Foundation. She assumed this role in 2010 and reported directly to the CEO. As Global Head of Human Resources, Calaway guided companywide leadership development, compensation and benefits, labor relations and diversity initiatives.
Calaway’s professional affiliations include board appointments to Froedtert Health, Inc., the Black Arts Think Tank, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. She is a past president of the board of directors of Meta House, Inc.
Calaway is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School.
