Sidney A. Ribeau was President of Howard University. Before Howard University, Ribeau served as President and Chief Executive Officer at Bowling Green State University. Ribeau joined Bowling Green in 1995.
Prior to that, Ribeau served as a Vice President for Academic Affairs at California Polytechnic State, Pomona. Previously, Ribeau accepted a position as a Professor of Communication Studies at California State University, Los Angeles. In 1987, Ribeau joined California State University, San Bernardino as the Dean of Undergraduate studies. Ribeau was named Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1990.
Ribeau is a Member of the Board of Trustees at the Regional Growth Partnerships, Third Frontier and also serves as a Trustee of Howard University.
Ribeau holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Speech Education from Wayne State University, a Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Interpersonal and Group Communications from the University of Illinois.
