“12 Years a Slave” Wins Best Drama at the Golden Globes

The Golden Globes ended on a high note with “12 Years a Slave” winning Best Motion Picture, Drama.

“12 Years a Slave” tells the story of Solomon Northup played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, a  free African-American male from upstate New York that is abducted and sold into slavery.

“12 Years a Slave” is directed by Steve McQueen and it also features Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Lupita Nyong’o, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sarah Paulson, Paul Dano, Paul Giamatti, Alfre Woodard, Michael K. Williams, Adepero Oduye, Scott McNairy and Garret Dillahunt.
