Wayne A. Budd is Senior Counsel with Goodwin Proctor LLP. Previously Budd was Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel with John Hancock Financial Services. Budd’s leadership roles also included: Group President-New England for Bell Atlantic Corporation (now Verizon Communications, Inc.), and a Commissioner with the United States Sentencing Commission. Previously, Budd held positions including the Associate Attorney General of the United States.
Budd’s board memberships and community involvements are extensive. In May 2005, Budd was appointed to serve on the Executive Committee of the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL). Budd has served on the Board of the American Automobile Association (AAA) of Southern New England, and has served as Chairman of the National Board of AAA. Budd is a Trustee Emeritus of Wheaton College.
Budd holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Boston College and a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School.
