Tillman J. Breckenridge is a Partner in the Washington, D.C. offi ce of Bailey & Glasser LLP. He represents clients in appeals at all levels, and he provides appellate consulting on trials as well. Tillman specializes in analyzing and preparing cases for appeal, and in communicating with appellate courts in a way that presents the issues and solutions in a matter in their most understandable and effective form.
Breckenridge has represented individuals, companies, organizations, and domestic and foreign government entities before the Supreme Court of the United States, every federal court of appeals, and several state appellate courts around the country.
Breckenridge is the Immediate Past Chair of the DRI Appellate Advocacy Committee, a fellow in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, a barrister in the Edward Coke Appellate Inn of Court, and is consistently named to Washington D.C. Super Lawyers and Virginia’s Legal Elite for appellate practice. Tillman also is the St. George Tucker Adjunct Professor of Law at the William and Mary Law School, where he directs the Appellate and Supreme Court Clinic.
Breckenridge is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the University of Virginia School of Law.
