Scott M. Mills is President of BET Networks for Viacom, home to the world’s premier entertainment brands that connect with audiences through compelling content across television, motion picture, online and mobile platforms in over 160 countries and territories.
In this role, Mills leads overall strategy, creative and business operations for BET Networks, the nation’s leading provider of quality entertainment, music, news and public affairs television programming for the African-American audience.
Previously, Mills served as Viacom’s Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, where his responsibilities included Human Resources, Technology, Real Estate, Programming Acquisitions, Facilities and Security. Prior to this, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of BET Networks. Scott also previously served as BET Networks’ Chief Financial Officer and President of Digital Media. Before becoming CFO, he was Executive Vice President and COO of BET Interactive.
Prior to joining BET, Mills was a Vice President in investment banking. Mills serves on the Board of the Principal Financial Group.
Mills holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
