Salaam Coleman Smith is the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Programming for FREEFORM Network at ABC. In this role, Coleman Smith directs long-term growth strategies and opportunities for the network, including key business and creative alliances and multi-platform content expansion. She oversees strategy, new business development, program planning and acquisitions on all platforms.

 

In addition, she is charged with partnering with the Disney/ABC Television Group leadership team in evaluating and formulating new initiatives for the network.

 

Most recently, she was President, Strategic Initiatives at NBCUniversal’s Cable Entertainment Group.

 

Prior to her last appointment at NBCU, Coleman Smith served as President of Style Media, overseeing all business and creative aspects of the cable network, including content development and production, marketing and brand strategy, program planning, audience research, and new business development.

 

Coleman Smith was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s “Power 100: Women in Entertainment.”

 

Coleman Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
