Marc Howze is Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Deere & Company.

In this role, Howze has responsibility for key administrative activities of the company, including Human Resources, Labor Relations, Brand and Communications, and Security. In January 2019, Howze assumed additional responsibility for supply management, logistics, and parts services.

Howze joined Deere & Company in 2001 as an attorney. He later served in leadership roles in business development, factory management, and product line management. Howze served as Corporate Secretary and Associate General Counsel from 2006 to 2008.

Prior to joining John Deere, Howze served in the U.S. Army as an artillery officer and in various capacities as a Judge Advocate.

Howze is a member of the Illinois and Michigan Bar Associations and member of the boards of the Executive Leadership Council, Human Resources Policy Association, and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. In 2018, Howze was elected to the board of directors for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company.

Howze earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, a juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
