Leslie D. Minier is a Partner and the Chief Diversity Officer at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. She has extensive experience representing both private and public companies in mergers and acquisitions, venture financing and general corporate matters. She represents buyers and sellers in structuring, negotiating and documenting acquisitions including stock purchases, asset sales, tax-free mergers and leveraged recapitalizations.

 

Minier also advises private equity funds making investments, engaging in leveraged buyouts of and selling portfolio companies.

 

Minier has a strong commitment to public service and holds leadership positions with several organizations including Chicago United and the National Association of Women Lawyers. She formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Make-AWish Foundation of Illinois, Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms and Joffrey Ballet and was a past chair of The Chicago Bar Association Alliance for Women.

 

Minier received her Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law. She earned her Master’s degree in Management from Northwestern University J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee University.
