Lauren Thibodeaux is Global Employment Counsel for Nike, Inc., responsible for labor and employment law matters for NIKE, Jordan, Converse and Hurley.
In her role, she manages a global team of lawyers that supports business leaders; human resources; counsels on employment laws; manages litigation; and assists in the review and development of company policies. She is also Communications Co-Chair for NIKE’s Black Employee Network.
Prior to joining Nike in January 2016, Thibodeaux was Assistant General Counsel, Employment for DIRECTV, LLC, where she was selected to participate in DIRECTV’s XLR8R Program for high potential leaders. From 2005 to 2013, she was an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, LLP. She served on the firm’s recruiting committee and associates’ forum and was the fi rm’s Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 2013 Fellow.
Thibodeaux is a lifetime member of the John M. Langston Bar Association and served on its board from 2012 to 2015.
From Inglewood, California, Thibodeaux graduated from Georgetown University in 1999 and USC’s Gould School of Law in 2005.
