Kimberly Phillips is Associate General Counsel, Global Litigation, Americas for Shell Oil Company.

 

In this role, Phillips is responsible for overseeing all of Shell’s litigation matters in the Americas region. She manages a team comprised of nearly 60 legal professionals, including 35 lawyers who manage litigation in countries throughout the region.

 

Phillips is board certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has written and presented numerous speeches on a variety of topics pertaining to civil litigation and appeals.

 

Phillips is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and the National Bar Association. As part of the NBA, she has served in many capacities, including as Chair of the Commercial Law Section and Chair of the NBA Budget Committee.

 

Appointed by the Governor of Texas, Phillips served six years on the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists. Appointed by Houston’s Mayor, she served a three-year term on the Houston Police Officers Civil Service Commission.

 

Phillips earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Central Missouri State University in 1989, and her Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 1993, as class valedictorian.
