Kimberly Chainey is the General Counsel for Panasonic Avionics Corporation. In this role, Chainey works with a talented team to provide legal support. Her core focus includes leading complex projects and transactions, overseeing the management of commercial contracts, working with company leaders to analyze legislation and determine its effect on Panasonic Avionics. Being an executive team member and Panasonic Avionics’ Chief Legal Officer, Chainey manages legal issues and promotes a disciplined compliance culture.
Prior to Panasonic, Chainey spent more than 15 years working with Fortune 500 companies, such as The Hershey Company, Avis Budget Group and top law firms supporting venture businesses, global companies, and government entities.
Prior to starting her career, she attended the University of Pennsylvania where she earned a Master’s in Business Administration from the Wharton School and Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Before graduate school, Chainey received a Bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University. She is currently admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
In 2017, Chainey was recognized as one of Crain’s 100 Leading Women Lawyers in New York City.
