Kenneth E. Rigmaiden is General President of the International Union of Painters and Allied
Trades (IUPAT), a labor organization representing a growing force of men and women in the United States and Canada, who work in Finishing Trades and skilled crafts.


In this role, Rigmaiden oversees the administrators of the major departments of the union. He leads the IUPAT General Executive Board, consisting of the general vice presidents in the United States and Canada, and the general secretary-treasurer.


In addition, Rigmaiden has a number of leadership positions within the national AFL-CIO, including the Governing Board of Presidents of the Building and Construction Trades Department and the Board of Trustees of the Housing Investment Trust, to represent the IUPAT in the organized labor movement.


Rigmaiden holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Jose State
University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Labor Studies from George Meany Center/Antioch
University.
