Kathryn Busby is Senior Vice President of Development for Sony Pictures Television Networks.

In this role, Busby initiates, drives and oversees the development and early production of original scripted and unscripted series across the globe. Busby collaborates with Sony’s international programming and production heads across Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Past projects at Sony include global hit series Hannibal and Crossing Lines and local productions such as original crime thriller Zbrodnia for AXN Poland, Gogglebox for Sony Channel South Africa and AXN Asia’s record-breaking series Asia’s Got Talent.

Prior to Sony, Busby served as VP of Original Programming at TBS & TNT. In this role, Busby worked with writers and producers to develop and produce original scripted programming. At Turner, Busby also led an initiative between Turner and The Black List to identify diverse new writing talent for blind script deals and staffing consideration.
Before landing at Turner, Busby was SVP of Production at New Line Cinema, where she was Executive Producer on the Sex And The City movie.

Busby holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard University.
