JoAnn Lee is the Associate General Counsel, ExxonMobil and member of the Leadership Team.

 

In this role, Lee provides vision and strategic direction to the global Law organization, leads major integrated projects, and develops and implements department initiatives focused on organizational effectiveness.

 

Previously, Lee was Assistant General Counsel, ExxonMobil Global Litigation and has held leadership positions with organizations, such as Union Pacific Railroad Company and the Harris County District Attorneys’ Office. Lee serves on the Executive Leadership Council, University of Texas Law School Foundation Board of Trustees, Corporate Counsel Women of Color Advisory Board, volunteers with several organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Interfaith Ministries, and served on boards, such as the Houston Area Women’s Center and Family Houston.

 

Lee’s honors include 2017 University of Texas School of Law Outstanding Alumna, 2016 Texas Lawyer Women in Energy Award, one of Savoy magazine’s Most Influential Black Lawyers in 2015 and 2018, 2014 Chambers Women in Law Award and 2013 University of Texas at Arlington Distinguished Alumna.
