Felicia F. Norwood is Executive Vice President and President of Anthem, Inc.’s Government Business Division. Through its affiliated health plans, Anthem serves 42.5 million members across the U.S.
Norwood is responsible for Anthem’s Medicaid, Medicare and Federal Government Solutions businesses. She has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare operations, policy, strategy and management in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Anthem in 2018, Norwood served as Director of Illinois’ Department of Healthcare and Family Services, a $22 billion agency that serves more than 3 million Medicaid beneficiaries. She also held numerous senior leadership positions in a nearly 20-year tenure with Aetna.
Since 2020, Norwood has served on the board of Hillrom, a global medical technology leader committed to enhancing outcomes for patients and their caregivers. Around the world, Hillrom’s innovations touch more than 7 million patients each day, enabling earlier diagnosis and treatment, optimizing surgical efficiency and accelerating patient recovery while simplifying clinical communication and shifting care closer to home.
