Edna Kane-Williams has over 20 years of experience working in Senior Management positions within both nonprofit and for-profit organizations, with an emphasis on strategic planning and targeted marketing.

 

In her current position, Senior Vice President of Multicultural Leadership at AARP, she is responsible for the development and execution of strategy relating to growing the association’s multicultural audiences, including Hispanic/Latino, African American/ Black and Asian American/Pacific Islander, and LGBT audiences.

 

Edna previously served as Vice President of Strategy and Communications for the AARP Foundation and Senior Vice President at Ogilvy Public Relations. Edna has held a variety of other key positions, including Senior Vice President of Communications and Social Marketing at IQ Solutions Inc., and Senior Vice President at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide.

 

Edna currently serves on the Board of Directors for Legal Counsel for the Elderly and Center for Responsible Lending.

 

Edna graduated from Yale University with a B.A. and received an M.A. from George Washington University. She is the recipient of a Coro Foundation Fellowship, and she was a Diversity Executive Leadership Program fellow for the American Society of Association Executives.
