Stanley O’Neal was Chief Executive Officer of Merrill Lynch and also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. O’Neal served in both leadership positions until 2007. O’Neal had an extensive corporate career with Merrill Lynch that spanned 21 years, serving in a number of capacities including: President and Chief Operating Officer from July 2001 to December 2002, President of U.S. Private Client from February 2000 to July 2001, Chief Financial Officer from 1998 to 2000, and Executive Vice President and Co-head of Global Markets and Investment Banking from 1997 to 1998.


O’Neal’s other affiliations include service on the Board of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and membership in the Council on Foreign Relations and the Center for Strategic and International Studies.


O’Neal holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Administration from the General Motors Institute and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
