Deidra Merriwether is the Senior Vice President and President, Direct Sales and Strategic Initiatives for W.W. Grainger, Inc. Headquartered in Lake Forest, Illinois, Grainger is a worldwide business-to-business distributor of maintenance, repair and operating products, and related services.

 

In this role, Merriwether leads sales teams, and pricing and gross margin optimization strategies for the U.S. business. She also oversees the Latin American and Export businesses.

 

Prior to this, Merriwether was the Vice President, Finance, Americas, for Grainger, leading financial planning and analysis for the U.S., Canadian and Latin American businesses. Before Grainger, Merriwether held roles of increasing responsibility at Sears Holdings Corporation, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Eli Lilly & Company.

 

Recently, Merriwether chaired the Finance committee of the March of Dimes. She currently serves as Executive Sponsor of Grainger’s Women’s Business Resource Group, and on the Board of the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

 

Merriwether earned an MBA in Finance and Operations Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University.
