Chris Ford is Chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Global Sourcing Group and a Partner in the Technology Transactions Group. He represents companies in strategic commercial transactions, including information technology and business process outsourcing; cloud-based relationships; telecommunications transactions; bank processing and network deals; ERP implementations; and general licensing, development, joint venture and related transactions.
Ford represented The State of Georgia in its landmark $1.1 billion IT infrastructure and Network Management outsourcing transactions with IBM and AT&T, respectively; Ingersoll-Rand in its IT infrastructure transaction with Computer Sciences Corporation; and McKesson Corporation in its global fi nance and accounting outsourcing arrangement with Genpact. He represents financial institutions, such as Bank of America and MUFG Union Bank in their processing and network management transactions.
Regarded as one of the world’s top lawyers for Outsourcing and Technology Transactions, Ford has been recognized by Chambers USA, Chambers Global and Legal 500 US. He was ranked as a leading lawyer in IT and Technology Law by Best Lawyers in America 2018.
Ford earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his B.S. from the University of Virginia.
