Breon S. Peace is a Partner in the New York office of Cleary Gottlieb and a member of the fi rm’s Executive Committee.
As a partner in the firm’s top-rated Litigation and White Collar Defense & Investigations groups, he regularly conducts sensitive internal investigations and represents domestic and multinational corporations and executives in significant criminal and regulatory investigations by authorities in the United States and abroad, involving allegations of, among other things, fraud and bribery.
Breon also handles complex commercial litigation matters and advises on corporate governance and compliance issues.
Breon previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, where he handled a variety of criminal prosecutions.
Breon also taught the Prosecution Clinic at N.Y.U. School of Law. He has been recognized as a leading lawyer by Chambers USA, The Legal 500 U.S. and Super Lawyers: Top Rated White-Collar Crimes Attorney.
Breon maintains an active pro bono caseload and is deeply involved in many diversity initiatives at the firm.
Breon received a J.D. from the N.Y.U. School of Law and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
