Atiba Adams is General Counsel for Mars Global Petcare, a business segment of Mars, Incorporated, a family-owned business with more than a century of history making diverse products and offering services for people and the pets people love.
Mars Petcare has a portfolio of almost 50 brands, including PEDIGREE®, WHISKAS®, ROYAL CANIN®, NUTRO™, GREENIES™, SHEBA®, CESAR®, IAMS™ and EUKANUBA™. Mars Petcare is also the world’s largest veterinary health provider through a network of over 2,000 pet hospitals, and is at the forefront of emerging innovation and technology for pets, pet owners and veterinarians.
Prior to joining Mars in 2015, Atiba held several positions at Pfizer Inc., including Vice President, Corporate Secretary and Chief Governance Counsel, and Chief Counsel to Pfizer’s Established Products and Nutrition business units.
Atiba began his career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He is an Advisory Committee Member of Legal Services NYC and is on the Board of Directors of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
Atiba was the 2010 Metropolitan Black Bar Association’s Corporate Counsel of the Year. Atiba is a North Carolina Central University School of Law graduate and serves on its Board of Visitors.
