Anthony W. Hall, Jr. is Attorney with the Law Office of Anthony W. Hall, Jr. Hall has been revered as the “people’s lawyer.” As the City of Houston’s lead lawyer from 1998 to 2004, Hall managed a team of more than 100 attorneys as City Attorney during Mayor Lee Brown’s administration. Hall has been engaged in the private practice of law since 2010. From 2004 to 2010, Hall served as the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Houston under Houston Mayor Bill White.


Numerous organizations have bestowed awards to Hall for outstanding civic work. Hall served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1971, attaining the rank of Captain. Hall’s military service included tours in Berlin and Vietnam; decorations include the Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars.


Hall holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Howard University and Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University.
