Derica W. Rice is Executive Vice President, Global Services and Chief Financial Officer for Eli Lilly and Company, a leading innovation-driven corporation with a growing portfolio of pharmaceutical products and over 40,000 employees worldwide. In this role, Rice has responsibilities as chief financial officer of the company and for global services, including the ongoing global services design project, as well as IT and Six Sigma. He is also a member of the company’s executive committee and operations committee. Rice joined the company in 1990 as an international treasury associate.
Rice serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Target Corporation, Clarian Health North and The Center for Leadership Development. He also serves as a member of the Indiana University Board of Trustees and the Board of Governors of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
Rice holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University (formerly the GMI Engineering & Management Institute) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration in 1990 from Indiana University.
